Worried about how the family can vacation together without breaking the piggy bank? Grand Cayman abounds with things to do and places to go, many at no charge. Here are some of the best options.

The Beach & Sea

The beach is without a doubt Cayman’s best natural resource and it provides an easy way to keep the whole family entertained. From building sand castles along Seven Mile to combing shores further afield, any time on the beach is time well spent.

Cayman’s underwater world also offers and incredible playground for the whole family. Don a mask and snorkel and immerse yourself in an exotic landscape of coral and tropical fish.

Bird Watching

Try bird watching at Governor Gore’s Bird Sanctuary and marvel at the abundance of native and migratory birds that Cayman attracts. The Pond’s popularity with the birds is seasonal, with greatest activity during the dry season. Butterflies also congregate in this area, and the native freshwater turtle, the Hickatee has often been spotted among the reeds. Turn into Spotts Newlands Rd off Shamrock Rd. Take the first right to Pennsylvania Ave.
