Visitors from all around the world flock to the clear blue waters of Stingray City, and there are a large number of tour operators on Island who offer day trips to the area, allowing guests to enjoy this unique experience with ease.
Tours are generally three hours long, however some tour companies offer half-day or full-day options, and you can choose between group and private charters. Whilst the former is more cost effective, the latter is a great and more intimate way to spend the day with family and friends. Trips are often combined with a snorkelling stop at Coral Gardens, Starfish Point and lunch either at Kaibo or Rum Point, all of which is located within the North Sound and thus travel time is short between each stop. Some operators will offer lunch on-board, and during Conch Season (November to April), the crew will dive for conch and serve this Cayman delicacy on-board. As fresh as seafood gets!
For something a little more up close and personal, a handful of tour companies offer waverunner tours to Stingray City and Rum Point. Alternatively, if you prefer to cover all your bases in one trip, a combination land and sea tour might appeal to you. Call Tours Cayman for more information and to book a three stop tour of the Turtle Centre, Stingray City and snorkelling around a chosen reef.
