Downtown George Town is where you will find many high-end jewellery shops, as well as interesting and unique stores selling great gifts. You can pick up all the groceries you'll need at Kirk Market. As a reminder, George Town is quietest on non-cruise ship days, and all downtown shops are closed on Sundays.

Local Art & Collectables

There are many talented artists across Grand Cayman. Many sell their wares in George Town, either in their own stores or at the local outlets. You'll find local art scattered around George Town, all of it conveniently located near the port.

3 Girls & a Kiln is located on the waterfront and offers a wide range of island-chic ceramic, handmade and upcycled goods. You can also join one of their many art classes!

Artifacts Ltd. stocks a host of antique jewellery, maps, prints, china, shipwreck treasures and more. It's the perfect place to pick up a unique gift.

Cathy Church's Photo Centre is home to Cathy's famous collection of underwater photography. Photographs are available to purchase in a variety of sizes, with custom framing available.

Cayman Islands National Museum Shop offers a wide selection of locally made products and souvenirs. They are the official distributor for Cayman flags and Coat of Arms plaques.

Guy Harvey Gallery & Shoppe Marine themed original works of art, prints, clothing and gifts. You may even run into Guy Harvey himself! Located on South Church Street.

Pure Art is located one mile south of George Town in an old Caymanian cottage. It is a treasure trove full of original paintings and prints by local artists, plus handmade jewellery, bags, ceramics, cushions and more.

The Craft Market, located just past the Fort George Ruins and opposite the waterfront, is a great place to watch local artisans at work and to pick up a unique gift or collector’s item. Browse handmade products like decorated conch, Caymanite and Silver Thatch hats and bags. Also find delicious local jellies, pickles and snacks. Open on days when cruise ships are in port.

Jewellery & Diamonds

Cayman is famed for its duty-free shopping, which makes buying exquisite jewellery and diamonds much easier. Upon arrival in George Town, you'll find a whole host of stores dedicated to this luxury. Below are some of the best.

Head downtown and wander around Island Plaza on Harbour Drive, where you can find Pandora and Swarovski boutiques, as well as Island Jewellers.

You'll find Kay's Fine Jewelry on Fort Street, offering a wide range of diamonds and other gemstones.

You'll also find Kirk Freeport on Fort Street, selling top-of-the-line jewellery. With duty-free and tax-free prices, buying jewellery and watches in Cayman is a very smart move. They also have boutiques for fragrances, leather, crystal, china and accessories. And they have one of the largest collections of Rolex watches in the world!

You can also check out the boutique, family owned jewellery store, Rocky's Diamond Gallery, which specialises in high-end jewellery. They offer an extensive collection of gemstones that are perfect for life's big events. You can even have a piece of jewellery custom designed and made by their in-house jewellery designers.

Cameras & Photography

Cameras are duty free in Cayman and can often be less expensive than in the US or Europe.

Cathy Church’s Photo Centre at Sunset House Hotel, located on South Church Street, sells a wide range of digital cameras and accessories, including GoPro, Nikon, Olympus, Fujifilm and Instax instant cameras along with multiple brands of underwater cameras.

Beauty Products

There are a handful of stores in George Town dedicated to beauty. They all sell high-end brands at affordable prices. 

Cardinall Avenue has many beauty stores, including Kirk Freeport’s La Parfumerie which sells brands like Chanel, Clarins, Dior, Guerlain, Lancôme, L'Oréal and Sisley. You will also find a MAC makeup store and a Victoria's Secret.

Le Visage in Harbour Walk, just outside George Town, is a luxury cosmetics and skincare boutique renowned for its expansive selection of exclusive brands, advanced skincare products and devoted customer service.

Clothing

Most clothing in George Town is sold in the souvenir shops across from the port. You can find rash guards, sweatshirts and tshirts in most of these stores. For the majority of Cayman's clothing stores, explore Camana Bay.

There are a number of stores along the harbour in George Town where you'll be able to find unique pieces. Guy Harvey Gallery & Shoppe sells marine themed clothing.
