Cayman Pirates Fest is a national festival celebrating all things Piratey!

Pirates Week 2024 Dates:

  • Grand Cayman – 8th to 16th November 2024
  • Little Cayman – 23rd November 2024
  • Cayman Brac - 29th to 30th November 2024

As with all years, Pirates Week 2024 will be a vibrant and exciting event that takes place in the Cayman Islands in November 2024. This annual Islands-wide celebration immerses visitors in the captivating world of pirates, with a series of exciting events, lively parades, and a host of activities for all ages.

The Grand Cayman element of the festival kicks off with the Pirates Landing Ceremony, where a flotilla of colourful pirate sail into George Town harbor, led by the legendary Captain Morgan. The streets come alive with costumed revellers, transforming the Island into a swashbuckling spectacle.

Pirates Week 2024 - Setting Sail Through Time

The Ministry of Border Control, Labour and Culture has announced that the 2024 return of the highly anticipated Pirates Week Festival will be themed ‘Setting Sail Through Time’. The festival, a national event that will span three weeks beginning on November 8th, will honour the milestones achieved since the first Pirates Week Festival, which was held 47 years in 1977.

A highlight of the festival is the Grand Pirates Parade, a spectacular procession of decorated floats, marching bands, and costumed pirates that wind through the heart of George Town. The parade is a feast for the eyes, with elaborately themed floats and enthusiastic performers creating a truly magical atmosphere.

Other notable events during Pirates Week include the Pirates Week 5K Walk/Run and sea swim, a fun and healthy way to experience Grand Cayman.

The festival also features a variety of family-friendly activities, such as treasure hunts, children's costume competitions, and pirate-themed workshops. Things to Do (Other than Pirating)

There's only so much pirating you can do in a day. So when you've hung up your hook and anchored your ship etc., there's activities, trips and tours aplenty, from the Crystal Caves to the Turtle Farm to the magical Bioluminescence Bay, to name but a few. And don't forget, there's more beaches, diving and watersports than you can shake a cutlass at!
