Pirates Week 2025 Dates:
The dates for 2025 Pirates Week are 6-15 November (Grand Cayman events) and November 20-22 (Sister Islands events)
As with all years, Pirates Week 2025 will be a vibrant and exciting event that takes place in the Cayman Islands. This annual Islands-wide celebration immerses visitors in the captivating world of pirates, with a series of exciting events, lively parades, and a host of activities for all ages.
The Grand Cayman element of the festival kicks off with a pirate party starting on 6th November, but the main event (on November 8th) is the Pirates Landing Ceremony, where a flotilla of colourful pirate sail into George Town harbor, led by the legendary Captain Morgan. The streets come alive with costumed revellers, transforming the Island into a swashbuckling spectacle.
Pirates Week 2025 will set sail under the theme “That’s Cayman: Our National Treasure,” celebrating the islands’ culture, history, and identity.
Pirates Week 2025 - That's Cayman Our National Treasure
The Pirates Week Festival 2025 is themed ‘That's Cayman Our National Treasure’. The festival honours Cayman's rich culture, the people and traditions and the milestones she has resiliently achieved as a nation.
A highlight of the festival is the Grand Pirates Parade, a spectacular procession of decorated floats, marching bands, and costumed pirates that wind through the heart of George Town. The parade is a feast for the eyes, with elaborately themed floats and enthusiastic performers creating a truly magical atmosphere.
Other notable events during Pirates Week include the Pirates Week 5K Walk/Run and sea swim, a fun and healthy way to experience Grand Cayman.
The festival also features a variety of family-friendly activities, such as treasure hunts, children's costume competitions, and pirate-themed workshops. Visitors can also enjoy live music, street performances, and a variety of culinary delights, from local seafood delicacies to pirate-themed snacks.

Things to Do (Other than Pirating)
There's only so much pirating you can do in a day. So when you've hung up your hook and anchored your ship etc., there's activities, trips and tours aplenty, from the Crystal Caves to the Turtle Farm to the magical Bioluminescence Bay, to name but a few. And don't forget, there's more beaches, diving and watersports than you can shake a cutlass at!
