For a truly unique experience look no further than Spirit of the West (SOTW) who offer horseback rides along the remote Barkers Beach.

Take in the stunning views of the white sandy beach and turquoise waters as you trek along the edge of the Caribbean Sea. All the horses at Spirit Of The West are magnificent, gentle creatures that are well looked after and well-trained, meaning that even novice riders will feel at ease. Each ride is led by an experienced guide and tours are designed to cater for riders of all levels.

Monday–Friday, closed weekends and public holidays

Tour times:
10.30am, 2pm and 4pm

Moonlight Ride is dependent on full moon schedule

What to Expect

The whole family had an incredible time on this gorgeous secluded beach ride. We all fell in love with our horses - they all have their own personalities, but great temperaments. Jordan was super friendly, knowledgeable and we all felt very safe with him leading us. We would recommend this to families looking for a unique, memorable experience.

My daughter and I booked a Caribbean swim ride with Spirit of the West and it did not disappoint. Always lovely to support a family owned and operated business, and Jordan was a knowledgeable and personable host. The weather was not entirely compliant (but we were going to get wet anyway) so it did not spoil our afternoon, and by the time we got back along the beach, the sun came out again. Bring carrots, feeding these lovely horses a treat was almost as much fun as the ride, the horses were real characters.
