This year the Cayman Islands will join countless other countries in celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
On February 6th, 1952, Queen Elizabeth II first ascended the throne following the death of her father, King George the VI. Today, 70 years later, she is the longest ruling monarch in British history and the most travelled. Her historic overseas visits include two to the Cayman Islands in 1983 and 1994.
The Cayman Islands will host a series of celebrations this year to recognize Her Majesty’s seven decades of service, including public events, community happenings and moments of reflection.
The Cayman Islands will enjoy a four-day public holiday weekend: Friday 3rd June 2022–Monday 6th June 2022 (Friday and Monday being Public Holidays).
Check out the events below and keep an eye on the Event Calendar and What’s On Cayman app for more information!
Please note that venues and times for all events are still being finalised. Additional events are expected to be added as celebrations continue through 2022. Continue checking back for more updates!
