Voices of Valour: Cayman’s Seafaring Stories

The CI National Museum Speaker Series offers a unique opportunity to sit with esteemed Caymanian elders and seafarers Andrew Eden and Captain Paul Hurlston, as they share personal stories of life during World War II and the golden age of Cayman’s seafaring tradition, told from a truly Caymanian perspective. Hear firsthand accounts of a time when Caymanian men, some as young as 17, left home to join the merchant ships and navigate treacherous waters in search of opportunity. While others stayed behind to safeguard the Islands and keep families and communities strong.
