Downtown’s creative hub, Parcel 110, will host a free, roundtable discussion in celebration of Pride Month in the Cayman Islands. This community forum aims to explore a wide range of perspectives, under the theme ‘Representation in Caribbean Music, Art and Cultural Expression: Building an Inclusive Space for LGBTQ+ Persons in Popular Culture’

The Parcel 110 discussion abstract explains: “The LGBTQ+ community is represented across the spectrum of arts and culture in the Caribbean and in the Cayman Islands. As artists, musicians, writers, and performers, they have made an impact on this region’s cultural consumption. They have, however, also been victims of abuse and subject to mistreatment and violence, often encouraged through music and other performance arts.”

This roundtable discussion is the first in a series of civic projects planned by Parcel 110.
