Beacon Farms - The Movie

The Beacon Farms movie is returning to the Camana Bay Cinema with public screenings every Wednesday evening throughout April and May. Following a successful opening run in February and March, moviegoers will have a second chance to see the documentary made in Cayman about a non-profit farm in North Side changing lives through agriculture.
Directed and produced by local filmmaker Candy Whicker, the Beacon Farms movie goes behind the scenes of a social enterprise that employs Caymanians in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, equipping them with new skills, opportunities and confidence to rejoin the community.
The world premiere of the Beacon Farms movie was held at the Camana Bay Cinema at a private screening sponsored by Dart on 8 February. Five public screenings followed, with 100% of ticket sales donated to Beacon Farms.
Reviews of the movie have been overwhelmingly positive, described as “a celebration of the human spirit here in our own Cayman Islands” and “an amazing insight into the inner workings of the farm.”
Starting Wednesday 5 April at 7pm, the Beacon Farms movie will run every Wednesday in April and May. Tickets can be purchased at the Camana Bay Cinema or online at fandango.com. 50% of ticket sales will be donated to Beacon Farms.
