Bart's Bash 2024, CI Sailing Club

Join sailing enthusiasts and experts alike at this premier fundraising sailing event, uniting sailing communities from across the globe in an annual campaign of collective participation. Together, they make a profound impact on lives through the power of sailing! Every year boats of all sizes take part in this fun regatta, including: crusiers, J22s, catamarans and dinghies (Optimists included!).

Bart's Bash stands as the pinnacle of annual events organized by the Andrew Simpson Foundation, paying tribute to the legacy of Olympic Gold and Silver medalist Andrew 'Bart' Simpson MBE. His unwavering belief in providing everyone with the opportunity to experience sailing and reap its numerous rewards continues to inspire.

Bart's Bash is a global race in commemoration of a world renowned sailor called Bart Simpson who sadly died in San Francisco Bay training for the Americas Cup. Funds are raised globally in his name to promote youth sailing and help the smaller clubs exist. 

Due to other conflicting sailing events, this event in Cayman is being held one week before the official UK event. The first start for cruisers is at 2 pm. Following the cruisers, smaller boats will start at 10 minute intervals, with the Optimists starting last.

There is no entry fee. A suggested donation of $10 per sailor be given to CISC.  This donation will be contributed towards refurbishing the Committee Boat. Please contact Denise Couch or Raph Harvey for entry and check in with the Committee Boat on the day by hailing or VHF Channel 69.
