Cayman Documentary Festival

Cayman Documentary Festival

Celebrate the art of the documentary, listen to expert-led panels and raise money for important local charities at the Cayman Documentary Festival.

The first of its kind here in Cayman, the festival was created to spark new dialogue within the Island's diverse communities. Each documentary is selected based on the contemporary issues that are most relevant at the time of the screening.

This exciting and educational festival was created with Cayman's youth in mind, highlighting important subjects and encouraging viewers to wonder about the world around them. Specialized panels after each screening offer a deeper look at issues discussed in the films and provide a chance for discussion.

There is an exciting, burgeoning film industry in the Cayman Islands, and this festival aims to promote local filmmakers while also showcasing incredible international projects.

2022

The 2022 Cayman Documentary Festival will feature five films and panels over the course of five days. The below films have been selected because they shine a light on current issues related to the environment, mental health and empowerment through music and technology.

Proceeds from each screening will benefit local charities like Plastic Free Cayman, Crisis Centre Cayman, Alex Panton Foundation, NCVO and Cayman Arts Festival. All tickets are $25.00.
