Parade leaves Public Beach at 1pm
As everyone anxiously awaits the phased re-opening of Cayman's borders and possible easing of existing pandemic-related restrictions, we are excitedly planning the 2021 Cayman Carnival Batabano Street Parade slated for Saturday May 8, 2021!
Batabano is committed to working with local authorities to ensure a safe carnival experience within all relevant restrictions for the health and safety of masqueraders, spectators, volunteers, and the wider community.
Batabano 2021 will be a celebration to launch all celebrations this year because we have so much to be thankful for and proud of as a country...a country that offers the most picturesque parade route in the Caribbean, just steps from Cayman's legendary Seven Mile Beach!
In 2019, the Batabano parade was one of the biggest in Cayman's history, with fifteen masquerade bands and floats, and some 2,500 masqueraders on the road!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year's parade had to be cancelled, like most carnivals around the world. And even though this year's parade might still have to be a little different, it will definitely be worth the wait!
