Coral Fest

5:30pm to 7:30pm

Join the Department of Environment’s Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD) Response Team on August 10th at the Westin from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for Coral Fest!

Coral Fest is a free, fun, family-friendly evening that will celebrate, educate and inspire residents and visitors of all ages to better understand and appreciate the incredibly diverse coral ecosystems in the Caribbean and Western Atlantic UKOTs.

Coral Fest will explore coral biology, ecology, and threats, like SCTLD, an aggressive coral disease that has devastated coral ecosystems in the northern Caribbean and has spread completely around Grand Cayman.

Coral Fest is presented in conjunction with an international SCTLD workshop being held at The Westin from August 9th-12th, so visitors will get to learn about corals from marine scientists and experts from across the UKOT's as well as meet Cayman's own SCTLD Response Team.

Follow our event page and invite your friends to stay up to date with the latest information on what's in the works, from the coral themed booths, exciting raffle prizes, games and more! It’s going to be an awesome 2 hours of learning and fun for the whole family.

JOIN US Wednesday, August 10th at the Westin Ballroom for Coral Fest!
