Cayman Pride Parade

The Cayman LGBTQ Foundation invites you to join them for the annual Cayman Pride Parade.  

The Pride parade starts at 4:00pm sharp. They are encouraging everyone to be on time at the location no later than 3:00pm for the lineup.

The Parade will leave from the public beach at 4:00pm heading down the old West Bay Road and will end at the BEVVY location (Old Margaritaville) for the after-party.

This year the parade and afterparty will be FREE for everyone to attend.

There is a strict no alcohol policy in the parade and the dress code policy will also still be in effect.

You are allowed to design your own costumes but please keep in mind that if any committee member feels it is not appropriate you will not be allowed to join the parade.

This year there will be no pre-registration for the parade.

Road Closures and Traffic Disruption:

The RCIPS is informing the public about the following road closures  taking place in order to facilitate the Pride Parade on Saturday, 5 August between 3:00PM and 6:00PM. The parade will commence at the Seven Mile Public Beach and conclude at Bevvy bar on West Bay Road.

From 3:00 PM to 4:20PM, the junction of Esterley Tibbetts Highway and West Bay Road will be closed at the Public Beach intersection to prevent motorists from entering West Bay Road in that area.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 4:00PM and sections of the road along the parade’s route will be closed to facilitate the passing of the parade. These road closures will be ‘rolling’, and as the parade passes each section, the roadways will re-open to the public.  The below shows the parade route as well as the estimated times for road closures along the way:

4:00PM to 4:20PM – West Bay Road will remain closed between the Public Beach and the Governors House. Lime Tree Bay junction along West Bay Road will be closed to prevent motorist from entering West Bay Road.

4:20PM to 4:40PM – West Bay Road between the Governors House and Safe Haven Drive will remain closed and the junction of Safe Haven Drive will be closed to prevent motorist from entering West Bay Road.

4:40PM to 5:00PM – West Bay Road will be closed between Safe Haven Drive and Canal Point Drive. Both the Earth Close and Canal Point Drive junctions will be closed to prevent motorist from entering West Bay Road

5:00PM to 5:20PM – West Bay Road will be closed between Canal Point Drive and Snug Harbour Drive. The junction of Snug Harbour Drive will be closed to prevent motorist from entering West Bay Road.

5:20PM to 5:40PM – West Bay Road will be closed between Snug Harbour Drive and Gecko Link (Galleria Roundabout). Gecko Link and Lizard Run Drive will both be closed to prevent motorist from entering West Bay Road.

5:40PM to 6:00PM – West Bay Road will be closed between Gecko Link and Lawrence Boulevard. The roadway between West Bay Road and Lawrence Boulevard will be closed to prevent right turns unto West Bay Road. The Parade will turn into Bevy Bar ( Old Margarita Ville).

Local access will be granted to vehicular traffic travelling from George Town to West Bay Road in the area of Seven Mile Shops until parade is off the West Bay Road.

The times provided are an estimate and may be subject to change. The public is being advised to avoid these areas during these times if not spectating the parade. If travelling to West Bay on Saturday, 5 August, motorists are advised to take the Esterley Tibbetts Highway as an alternate route.
