Who Read This

Downtown George Town is where you will find most of the high end jewellery shops as well as a few interesting and unique stores where you can find gifts to take home with you. George Town is quietest on non-cruise ship days (Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays). All downtown shops are closed on Sundays.

Souvenirs, Art Galleries & Locally Made Collectables

The Craft Market on the waterfront, close to the cruise ship dock, offers interesting gifts and local products, crafts and artwork. It’s open Monday to Friday 8.30am-3pm and occasionally on Saturdays during high season.

Artifacts is a treasure trove of antique jewellery, maps, prints, china, shipwreck treasures and more. It's the perfect place to pick up a unique gift.


Cayman Islands National Museum Shop offers a wide selection of locally made products and souvenirs. They are the official distributor for Cayman flags and Coat of Arms plaques.


Cathy Church Underwater Photo Centre in South Sound is home to the Imagination underwater photo collection. Photographs are available to purchase in a variety of sizes.

Shop for Souvenirs in Cayside Galleries on the waterfront and find great gifts to take home. Choose from t-shirts, Cayman-made crafts and much more.


Cayman Nature Store is located at the Dart Park on South Church Street and stocks jewellery, apparel and accessories made by local artists such as Bee Line Designs, Siggy Designs, Beach Bubbles and 3 Girls & a Kiln.


Guy Harvey's Gallery & Shoppe is located right on the waterfront at 49 South Church Street. This store carries a wide selection of marine themed apparel as well as original art and prints.


Margaritaville sells a wide range of branded clothing and collectables to remember your trip to paradise by. Choose from t-shirts, hats and kids wear as well as beer glasses, home accessories, fridge magnets and more.


Penny Black Stamp Shop A tiny but fascinating stamp shop with wall to wall stamp cases arranged by date, country and theme. It is a stamp collectors piece of heaven!


Pure Art is located one mile south of George Town and is a treasure trove full of original paintings and prints by local artists, plus handmade jewellery, bags, scarves, ceramics, cushions and more.


The Craft Market on the waterfront has interesting gifts and some local products.


Beauty Products

You'll find plenty of beauty stores along Cardinall Avenue. Kirk Freeport sells high end brands like Chanel, Clinqiue, Clarins, Estẻe Lauder and Lancôme to name a few. You'll also find a MAC make-up store and a Victoria's Secret on the same street.


Cameras are duty-free and it is commonly acknowledged that they are cheaper in Cayman than in the US or Europe. Cathy Church’s Photo Centre (345) 949 7415 at Sunset House Hotel, located on South Church Street sell a wide range of digital cameras and accessories including Nikon, Vivitar, Olympus, Sony along with multiple brands of underwater cameras.


Elegant evening or day wear can be found at Arabus (345) 949 4620 on Edward Street in downtown George Town. Blue Wave Lifestyle Wear & Surf Shop specialises in a wide variety of trendy apparel, surf wear and accessories, including swimwear and beach clothing. Guy Harvey Gallery & Shoppe sells marine-themed clothing.

Infants and children’s clothes and toys can be found at Altantic Kids (345) 943 2296 in Paddington Place, Godfrey Nixon Road. Their sister company, Atlantic, sells inexpensive day and evening clothes for men and women. Little Darlings (345) 949 2580 on Crewe Road and The Baby Shoppe (345) 949 2229 in Alissta Towers on North Sound Road both have a large selection of infant, baby and children’s supplies.



You’ll find a fantastic selection of sunglasses at De Sunglass Man. Shop for brands such as Cartier, Ray Ban, Oakley, Maui Jim, Prada, Tiffany, Tom Ford, Jimmy Choo, Michael Kors, Gucci, Dior, Tory Burch, Coach and Dolce - there are over 1,000 pairs on display, all at duty free prices!


Other great things to buy while in Cayman are watches, gems and precious metals as all are duty free and sales tax free. The best option is to just head downtown and wander around one of the many jewellery stores located there.

Kirk Freeport stores located on Cardinall Avenue or in Bayshore Mall in George Town. As well as offering a wide range of diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other gemstones, they stock brands such as Vera Wang, Bvlgari, Cartier, Hearts of Fire, Mikimoto, to name just a few. They also have a wide range of branded watches and one of the largest collections of Rolex's in the world.

Also check out The Island Plaza who offer several great jewellery stores; Island Jewellers, is home to a stunning collection of fine jewellery, diamonds, tanzanite and other coloured gemstones. Famous jewellery brands include Hearts on Fire, Le Vian, FOPE, Ani, Tacori, the Cayman Memories Collection and more. Great watch brands like Ulysse Nardin, Hermes, Zenith, Oris, Tissot, Movado, Fendi, Michelle, Frederique Constant and Seiko can also be purchased. The Swarovski Boutique sells crystal jewellery, watches, figurines, gifts and accessories. The Pandora Store features the full range of jewellery, watches and the collectable “Cayman Islands“ charms.
Boutique, family-owned jewellery store, Rocky's Diamond Gallery, specialise in high end jewellery. They offer an extensive collection of gemstones, perfect for life's big events. You can even have a piece of jewellery designed and made by their in house jewellery designers.

If you're looking for beautiful antique pieces then head to Artifacts which is located on the harbour front.


Those looking to try famous Cuban Cigars should head to Churchil’s Cigars who offer a selection of 100 individual cigars from 20 Cuban brands plus Cuban art and accessories. They also sell 50 individual cigars from 8 non-Cuban brands and are proud to be the only “Official Opus X dealer” – not only in the Cayman Islands but anywhere in the Western Caribbean.
